For those of you who thought Tavi would be a one hit wonder, think again. A cover of Pop Magazine, owner to one of the most read blogs in the industry and a reserved seat front row at most of the important shows during New York Fashion Week. It is a safe assumption Tavi has experienced the world of fashion-fame way beyond her 13 years.

 

Muse for the Rodarte sisters, front row last week at Alexander Wang’s AW10 show, posing with designers and celebrities and up and running with a fresh new column for Harper’s Bazaar, Tavi proves time and time again she’ll be this years (and the future) fashion journalist. A lingo completely her own, she proves her talent in blog posts where she analyzes fashion and trends with more depth and interesting perspectives than fashion show regulars like Style.com or The Times. And it’s really her young heart and soul that makes her interesting to read. Instead of the regual (over)analyzing of prior seasons versus upcoming season or designers inspiration dissected into dullness, Tavi has an eye (and opinion) about the right here and now. Also, her collection of hand made webcam movies of herself dancing and singing makes it impossible not to like her. She is a star, due to her extreme uniqueness. Her young age and contemporary mood reflects on her style which is in every way thrilling, mixing references in a fashion no-no matter. Signature pieces being the knitted Rodarte tights put together with decorated hats, heavy cork wedges, glasses and layered skirts in different patterns. She could be the poster girl for the dumpster chic yet always comes off as an intellectually dressed fashion mogul, with an great eye for combining the impossible. PEOPLE OF CHOICE: Are normal 13 year olds. Plot

On an airplane to Los Angeles, Kate Hazeltine (Julia Roberts), a captain in the U.S. Army on a one-day leave, meets Holden (Bradley Cooper), who has recently become single again.

In Los Angeles, florist Reed Bennett (Ashton Kutcher) eagerly proposes to his girlfriend Morley (Jessica Alba) who accepts his offer, much to the surprise of Reed’s friends Alphonso (George Lopez) and Julia (Jennifer Garner). Morley changes her mind, and Reed discovers that the others always thought it would not work out, and he wished they would have had told him.

Julia, a primary school teacher, has recently fallen in love with Dr. Harrison Copeland (Patrick Dempsey), but does not know that he is married. Reed finds out when Harrison orders flowers for both his wife and for Julia. Reed warns Julia (who, as suggested by Reed, plans to surprise Harrison by flying to his supposed business trip destination), but she cannot believe this and goes anyway. However, at the hospital where he was supposed to work she asks the nurse at the counter if he is around, and she says no. She asks if Harrison is still married to a woman named Pamela, and after hesitation, the nurse tells her the truth. She realizes the truth, and tearfully leaves, heading back to Kara's Party. Dressed as a waitress Julia makes a scene at the restaurant where Harrison dines with his wife. Julia ends the her "scene" with giving back the toy Harrison gave her that morning. Harrison's wife, Pammy recognizes the toy^[3].

One of Julia’s students, young boy Edison (Bryce Robinson), orders flowers from Reed, to be sent to his Valentine. There is a delay in the delivery, but Edison insists that Reed delivers the flowers the same day. They are for Julia; however, Julia suggests to Edison to give the flowers to a girl in the class. He gives the flower to the girl in his class, and she accepts it.

Edison's babysitter Grace (Emma Roberts) is planning her first sexual encounter with boyfriend Alex (Carter Jenkins). The planned encounter goes awry when Grace's mom sees Alex naked, playing his guitar and rehearsing his song written for Grace. Meanwhile Edison’s grandparents, Edgar (Hector Elizondo) and Estelle (Shirley MacLaine) are facing the troubles of a long marriage. Grace explains to them that she wants to have sex with Alex, and says, "It's not like you are going to sleep with the same person for the rest of your life." This upsets Estelle and leads to her telling Edgar about an affair she had with one of his business partners while he was away a long time ago.

Grace’s friends, Willy (Taylor Lautner) and Felicia (Taylor Swift) are experiencing the freshness of new love, and have agreed to "wait" to have sex. Willy gets Felicia a large white Teddy Bear, and she gets him a track shirt with "her" lucky number on it. They are both interviewed for the News, and talk about their love and support for each other.

Sean Jackson (Eric Dane), a closeted professional football player, is contemplating the end of his career together with his publicist Kara (Jessica Biel) and his agent Paula (Queen Latifah). Kara, a close friend of Julia’s, is organizing her annual ‘I Hate Valentine’s Day’ Party but is starting to become interested in sports reporter Kelvin Moore (Jamie Foxx) who has been sent out by his producer Susan (Kathy Bates) to cover Valentine’s Day because of a lack of sports news, and shares the mutual feeling of dislike for Valentines Day. Paula has recently hired a new receptionist named Liz (Anne Hathaway) who has recently started dating mailroom clerk Jason (Topher Grace). Jason is first shocked when Liz turns out to be also a phone sex worker (operating her mobile phone at random places, surprising people around her), and not telling her, and assumes she is cheating, but later accepts it.

At the end, it is shown that Holden was recently single because he broke up with Sean, but Holden goes back to him because Sean finally came out at a press conference. Kate Hazeltine returns home to greet her son, Edison. Grace and Alex do not have sex and plan to wait it out, after mishaps with her mother running into him naked with a guitar. Kara and Kelvin kiss eachother. Both Julia and Reed realize they have feelings for each other and kiss on the bridge by his house. Morley is shown walking alone with her dog. Dr. Copeland is shown watching TV in his apartment with an empty pizza box, and an empty side of the bed, signifying his wife realized what was going on, and presumably left him. Willy drops off Felicia at her apartment and they say goodbye with a passionate kiss, Felicia then goes home with a warm smile on her face. Estelle and Edgar embrace at the Celebrity Cemetery during a movie, and plan to say their vows to each other again. The movie ends with narration by a radio host who says all people just want to hear three words on Valentine's Day: "Let's get naked."

movie review - Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland (2010 film)

Alice in Wonderland is an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton. It is an extension of the Lewis Carroll novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland andThrough the Looking-Glass. The film will use a technique combining live action and animation. Mia Wasikowskaplays the role of Alice, alongside Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts and Stephen Fry as The Cheshire Cat.

The film is scheduled for release on March 5, 2010^[2]through Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3-D andIMAX 3-D, as well as in regular theaters. The film has been rated PG by the MPAA "for fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations and for a smoking caterpillar".

Plot :

In this extension of Lewis Carroll's original stories Alice Kingsley, now 19, attends a party at a Victorian estate shortly after the death of her beloved father. The formal affair, unbeknownst to Alice, is an engagement party planned by her mother and sister. Just as the arrogant and boorish Lord Hamish Ascot proposes to Alice under a gazebo and before the eyes of hundreds of snooty society-types, Alice spots a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch. In shock and confusion, she runs off into a maze and follows the White Rabbit through it. She eventually tumbles down a rabbit hole into Underland, more commonly referred to as "Wonderland" by its inhabitants. It turns out she had visited this place ten years earlier but had entirely forgotten about it. She then reunites with her childhood friends, including the Mad Hatter, who explains to Alice that they need her help in over-throwing the Red Queen. This evil character has taken control of Wonderland from her benevolent sister, the White Queen. Alice is also told that she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwock, the dragon who terrorizes the inhabitants of Wonderland under the rule of the Red Queen. Alice then embarks on an adventure of self-discovery in the process of saving Wonderland and her friends there from both the Jabberwock and the Red Queen's reign of terror.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is anAmerican 2009 live-action/CGI comedy film and sequel toAlvin and the Chipmunks starring Jason Lee, Zachary Levi,David Cross, and Wendie Malick. The film also stars the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Christina Applegate, Anna Faris, and Amy Poehler.

The film features Alvin and the Chipmunks and their female counterparts, The Chipettes. It was directed by Betty Thomas, written by Jon Vitti and Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger, and distributed by 20th Century Fox, and produced by Regency Enterprises and Bagdasarian Productions. It was originally scheduled to open on March 19, 2010, but it was moved up to a December 23, 2009, release instead. In Australia, it was released on December 26.

PLOT:

During the Chipmunks' benefit concert in Paris, France, Dave (Jason Lee) is badly injured after a falling billboard sends him flying across the stage into electric devices.

After the accident, Dave is rushed to the hospital. Even though he survives, he must stay to recuperate. He tells Alvin, Simon, and Theodore that while he's away, he has asked his Aunt Jackie to look after the Chipmunks, and that he has also made arrangements for them to go to school.

They head to the airport, where the Chipmunks meet up with Jackie, who introduces her grandson, Tobin "Toby" Seville (Zachary Levi). After Jackie falls down a staircase and a luggage trolley crashes into her, she, too, is sent to a hospital, leaving Toby in charge.

Meanwhile, Ian (David Cross) now lives in the basement of JETT Records. A FedEx truck comes around the corner, and a package falls out. Three singing female chipmunks called the Chipettes emerge from the package and introduce themselves to Ian. Brittany (Christina Applegate) says that since Ian made the Chipmunks stars, they want to be stars, too. To prove their talent, they sing "Put Your Records On," and Ian hires them.

The tension between Alvin and Simon builds as Alvin hangs out with the jocks of the school, but the one who is most affected is Theodore who believes he is losing his brothers because they are fighting all the time.

The Chipmunks meet the Chipettes and gain crushes on their counterparts, but are soon forced to have a rivalry after discovering that they are with Ian. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes compete against each other in a Battle of the Bands. During lunchtime, Alvin meets up with Brittany, sharing a slightly romantic moment with her until he warns her about what Ian did to him and his brothers, and Brittany doesn't believe him. At the concert, the Chipettes sing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Ian videotapes the Chipettes performance and posts it on YouTube, along with his phone number. The Chipettes win the competition and Ian becomes rich and famous again after Simon and Theodore forfeit the competition because Alvin failed to show up. Alvin later shows up only to see that everyone's gone. When Alvin returns home, Simon and Theodore pretend they're sleeping and ignore him. The embarrassment is too much for Theodore to take so he runs away to the zoo. When Toby and the boys find him and save him from an eagle, it brings out the best in all four of them and the Chipmunks all forgive each other and go back to "One for all, and three for one."

Soon, the Chipettes are hired as the opening act at a Britney Spears concert at the Staples Center. Unfortunately, the concert is on the same night as the school concert, so Ian decides to blow off the battle and make the Chipettes perform at the concert. However, since he focuses on Brittany the most, he wants her to perform onstage alone while Jeanette and Eleanor sing backup. Brittany refuses to sing without her sisters, so Ian threatens to barbecue them at a restaurant if they don't. At the school, the Battle of the Bands is approaching for each school's performance at the stadium. Alvin gets a phone call from Brittany, saying that she and her sisters have been imprisoned in a cage. Alvin races to save them on his motorbike while Simon tells Jeanette how to open the cage on the phone. The Chipettes escape the cage, climb out of the limo, and jump onto Alvin's bike. Alvin's cousin tells him to distract Ian. Ian steals a toy. While being chased, Brittany apologizes to Alvin for ignoring him about Ian. Ian pursues them with a remote control helicopter, but they leap off the motorbike and grab onto the helicopter. They throw their helmets and Ian drops the remote. Jeanette jumps and grabs it. Eleanor throws her platform shoes and the motorbike drives straight to Ian's groin. Simon and Theodore are about to forfeit the concert again, but Alvin and the Chipettes fly into the hall on the helicopter and they made it in the school and sings "We Are Family" and the school wins $25,000. At the Staples Center, Ian dresses up as Brittany wearing a wig with chipmunk ears and two sock puppets while he sings Single Ladies badly, only to be booed at by the crowd and taken away by the security guards. The Chipmunks and Chipettes sing Shake your Groove Thing and all of the people in the school dance. The Chipmunks go back home with Dave while Toby goes back home. The Chipettes are adopted into the family and sleep at the boys' house at their request. When Dave wishes them good night and turns the lights off, Alvin turns them back on repeatedly. After Dave trips over a skateboard, Alvin wishes him good night and turns the lights off.

The post credits show the jocks cleaning breaches with Dr. Rubin watching them.
